**What are Wheeling Systems?**

Wheeling systems are powerful game strategies that provide a systematic method for playing the lotto game. These lottery game strategies have a mathematical foundation. Therefore each game strategy stipulates upfront the **mathematical assurances** of the system. These systems allow you to play the lotto game with more than six numbers. You are able to generate from those numbers, a special set of game combinations and provides a win assurance for the game set.

In other words, they give the lotto player the ability to combine his numbers using **mathematical systems,** allowing the player to have **more combination coverage** with his numbers.

#### To use or not to use a Wheeling System

Let me give you and example, if you chose to buy two tickets in a Pick **6 / 53 lotto**, you would need to select six out of 53 numbers. You will be hoping you have the winning numbers in the next drawing. The odds are pretty much stacked against you. If, however, you were to play **12 numbers** for example 5,12,15,20,23,25,29,34,36,40,41,48; you might play them with two tickets, one having the numbers 5,15,23,29,36,41 and the other containing 12,20,25,34,40,48. You have now effectively played twelve numbers.

Now the odds are starting to turn slightly in your favor. Saturday night comes around and the winning numbers are 15, 20, 29,34,36,48 you jump for joy and celebrate! Because of all the times you’ve played lotto, you know these are the numbers you always play!!! Excitedly you look at your tickets, only to find out that you only got three of the numbers right in each ticket. What are the odds? The following Monday you are off to work again cursing at the rush hour traffic.

# How do Wheeling Systems work?

Let’s try one of our systems. We are still going to play the same numbers, however, we will combine them using a mathematical approach that we will call a “wheeling system”. This** random and confusing looking grid is our “Wheeling System.”** This particular grid is a **12 number system with a 4 out of 6 assurance.**

**Pick 6 Lottery Strategy 12 Numbers Generating 6 Combinations with a win assurance of 4/6**

**01 02 03 04 05 06**

**01 02 03 07 08 09**

**01 02 03 10 11 12**

**04 05 06 07 08 09**

**04 05 06 10 11 12**

**07 08 09 10 11 12**

This system is defined as 12 numbers with an assurance of 4/6 meaning if the winning numbers are within the 12 numbers that you picked then you are assured there will be a 4 number combination match.

If you were to write it out on paper it would work something like this; make a line, across the top you would write the numbers 1 thru 12. We’re going to call these the “system numbers.” Across the bottom of the line, you would write your own lucky numbers.

**These are the Wheeling Numbers **

01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12

**05 12 15 20 23 25 29 34 36 40 41 48**

**These are your numbers **

Now replace the system numbers with yours. Let’s take a look at the results.

** Your played games
**

** Combination 01 – 05 12 15 20 23 25**

**Combination 02 – 05 12 15 29 34 36**

**Combination 03 – 05 12 15 40 41 48**

**Combination 04 – 20 23 25 29 34 36**

**Combination 05 – 20 23 25 40 41 48**

**Combination 06 – 29 34 36 40 41 48**

** **** **

**Results: **

Let’s say that night, the drawn numbers were **15, 20, and 29,34,36,48 or test it and pick other numbers.
**

Let’s take a look at the results! The winning numbers have been highlighted. We can already see that we matched 4 numbers in game’s 2, 4, and 6. You’re still going to work Monday, but maybe you can afford to take a day off, pay that credit card, or put that down payment on your dream home. The point is you played more effectively by combining the numbers using a system. Best of all you have a real chance at the jackpot.

**Combination 01 – ** 05 12 ** 15 20 ** 23 25

**Combination 02 – ** 05 12 **15 29 34 36**

**Combination 03 – **05 12 **15** 40 41 ** 48**

**Combination 04 – 20 ** 23 25 ** 29 34 36**

**Combination 05 – ** **20** 23 25 40 41 ** 48**

**Combination 06 – 29** ** 34 36 ** 40 41 ** 48**

Powerball players: All you need to do is use a pick five system and add a Powerball number. Of course, the assurances apply only if you guess the Powerball and you fill the system requirements.

# Let’s take another look at how wheeling systems work

For the examples shown below let’s assume that we have elected to play the following group of lotto numbers:

**2 5 7 12 13 16 20 28 30 35 38 39**

and that the first system we want to examine, it operates under the following conditions:

**Pick 6 12 Numbers 924 Games Assurance 6-6**

This system lets you select 12 numbers.

**A(6-6)** Provides an assurance of a six-number winning combination if six of the winning numbers are among your selection of the twelve numbers.

**C(924)** This game strategy generates 924 six number games. If we were to combine those twelve numbers into every possible combination of six numbers. we would have to play 924 games. A very expensive proposition indeed!! But, if any six of the twelve numbers selected were among the winning numbers, this strategy would guarantee us the jackpot.

##### A second Alternative

A second alternative would be to randomly combine those twelve numbers into…. say, 20 games. While this approach is far cheaper than the one shown above there is absolutely no guarantee that we would win anything, even if six of the winning numbers were among our group of twelve numbers.

So far we have seen that attempting to use a game strategy that seeks to secure a six number win (Jackpot) can be a very expensive strategy. On the other hand, not using any game strategy can be a very disappointing alternative. Now, consider the cost of perusing a strategy that seeks to secure a four number win. For twelve numbers there are 495 four number combinations, however, in the context of a six number game, these 495 four number combinations can be accommodated into six games shown below:

**S(12), A(4-6), C(6)**

2 5 7 12 13 16 12 13 16 20 28 30

2 5 7 20 28 30 12 13 16 35 38 39

2 5 7 35 38 39 20 28 30 35 38 39

This does not mean that with those six games you could not hit a five number combination or even a six number combination and win the jackpot. Quite the contrary, the assurance only describes the minimum that you can expect from the system if the stated conditions of the game are met.

In order to compare the coverage provided by the system shown above, consider the coverage you may get when you randomly select numbers for the six lottery tickets.

- One six-number ticket provides for 15 four number combinations.
- 6 lottery tickets (with random number selection) provide on the average 15*4=60 four number combinations. At best, you can equal the 495 four number combinations of the system shown above. Since the chances of the latter happening purely by random selection are not very good, you might prefer to use the more predictable strategy provided by the wheeling system.

### A practical way of checking the wheeling systems

By the way here is a really practical way to check out this system. Get twelve pieces of paper and write down our twelve numbers. Put them in a hat, and randomly draw six of them without replacement. Then simply verify if any four of the six number combination is in one of the six games specified by the system. Put the six numbers back into the hat and repeat the exercise. Don’t build up your hopes… you are not out to defeat the system!!

Let’s change the conditions of the game a bit. We still want an assurance of a four number win. But instead of guessing six numbers with our group of twelve, we are now required to guess just five numbers. The system shown below would do just that. Of course, the cost of the game would go up, but then the odds of guessing five numbers are better than that of guessing six numbers.

**S(12), A(4-5), C(18)**

2 5 12 13 20 35 2 12 13 20 28 35 5 13 16 20 30 38

2 5 12 20 28 35 2 12 13 20 35 38 5 13 16 28 38 39

2 5 12 20 35 38 2 12 20 28 35 38 5 13 28 30 38 39

2 7 12 16 28 39 5 7 13 16 28 38 5 12 16 30 35 39

2 7 16 20 30 39 5 7 13 20 30 38 7 16 20 30 35 39

2 7 16 30 35 39 5 7 13 28 38 39 7 12 16 20 30 39

By the way.., if you still have the old hat and the pieces of paper with the numbers on it. Check out this system by randomly drawing only five numbers at a time.
