What does a wheeling guarantee really mean?
A wheel arranges the numbers you choose into ticket lines. The guarantee is about that arrangement. It does not guarantee that your chosen numbers will win.
Past drawings can show patterns in the record, but they cannot tell us which numbers will win next.
A wheel arranges the numbers you choose into groups for your tickets.
You start with a group of numbers. The wheel uses mathematics to spread those numbers across ticket lines. Its guarantee applies only when enough winning numbers are already inside the group you chose.
The “if” comes first
A “3-if-5” guarantee means this: if five winning main numbers are inside the group you chose, the wheel guarantees the stated coverage. It does not guarantee that you chose those five winning numbers. It also does not guarantee a prize or a profit.
The mathematics in one example
Suppose each ticket uses 5 main numbers and you choose 8 numbers. Those 8 numbers can be grouped into 56 different sets of 5:
C(8,5) = 8! ÷ (5! × 3!) = 56 ticket lines
A full wheel uses all 56 lines. A shorter wheel uses fewer lines to lower the cost, so it can promise only the smaller amount of coverage printed with that wheel.

What the guarantee does—and does not—say
How to use a wheel responsibly
- Choose the lottery and the size of your number set.
- Read the assurance condition before generating lines.
- Confirm the number of lines and total ticket cost.
- Use only a budget you can afford to lose.
